  It was never about God but acceptance from my dad

  i believe this was the reason i kept returning to the witnesses after being nearly a born in, my dad was an ex royal marine and was and is still my hero, what he said was right and in a good way most things i have followed have become good, but this witness thing i belive never made him truely happy.. it was when i was particulary unhappy, that i went on amazon and found an unbiased book crisis of conscious that i read, and with a sense of worry that i gave it to him, and thankfully all his previous attitudes have disappeared and now all the family are out of the truth!.

  my only worry is that he still belives in the authority of the bible something that after numerous searches into the old testament and greek scritures i find even more unbeliveble, although i don't try to mich to dissuade him as now it's his personal religion!.

  Hi,

  I 've just watched on Utube Zeitguist Addendum and although some of it seems far fetched, you cannot fail to see that Governments, religions, big business decieve the masses daily, I now beleive in nothing that cannot be practically explained, everyone has their own agenda and no one can be trusted, except Sparlock, lol

  school's out, the kids are running around (well actually staring at the video screen), the days are longer and the night are cool.

  Off on a holiday in a few weeks in Minorca, I think Quantum Psychology Robert Anton Wilson, Silmarillion J.R. Tolken, Behold the Man Michael Moorcock and the new Terry Pratchett book The Long Earth, yes all these books with a large contigent of Lager, lol!

  as you can guess now, i'm a futurologist, and man has now extended his lifetime exponentially and things are better than can be imagined, mankind scientific breakthroughs have made eternity a possiblity, there are still things that can be improved, but there is no judgement or religion to deter humankind to pursue their dreams, there are no more fundamental religions are they were outlawed in 2049 as detrimental to human progress, and are we enjoying the results.. although some may say this is wishful thinking today in 2012 there are many organizations involved in life extension and eradication of prejudice, caused by judgemental world religions especially the jehovah's witnesses.. i look forward to seeing you there!.

  humankind gets it wrong but God and religion are to blame

  i'm not a big fan of religion as you can see, but if god is all powerful and loving why isn't easy to follow a creator with easily disernable information!.

  i think lotr is more belivable than than bible, lol!.

  The significance of Sparlock

  I'm just speaking pactically here, if someone had a 3d printer could make a CE registered Sparlock character they would be able to make them as this years most marketable toy for Christmas, would'nt that be a turn up for the books!

  Occasional feelings of sadness about the JW experience

  do you feel occassionally sad when you flash back at your life as a jw, may be you occassionally become overshadowed by regrets and bitter feelings and not knowing exactly what caused it.. some regretted wasted life while others regretted being trapped in what they feel was a cult.

  do you experience anything similar.

  how do you usually surmon up courage to stand up and forge ahead?.

  I feel sad about the fact that everything was explained and required no thinking on my part and it was all simple, and the world now seems an amazing smorgasbord or different ideas, that I have to pick, I think the biggest challenge is the lack of certainty!
